Matthew J. Pires

Graduating from New York Law School in 2012 and being admitted to practice law in New Jersey the same year, Matthew has 11 years of experience in family law. He has also handled several criminal matters in his time as an attorney.

Matthew’s primary focus is family law. He is highly skilled in navigating matters such as divorce actions, domestic violence, custody and parenting time disputes, and post-judgement litigation in his role as a professional family lawyer. He has years of trial experience, engaging in appellate practice on family matters. In his time in the courtroom, he has successfully argued before several Judges throughout the state. His courtroom experience spans several counties, from Sussex to Salem and almost everywhere in between.

Matthew volunteers for the Jersey Battered Women’s Service outside of his daily work schedule. He enjoys helping people in any way he can through challenging experiences in life. He has successfully obtained multiple Final Restraining Orders for victims of domestic violence over the past 11 years.

Matthew is admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey, New York, and the U.S. District Court for the State of New Jersey. Matthew is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
