With nearly four decades of experience in family law, David Meth has established himself as a dedicated advocate for his clients, handling a broad spectrum of complex family law matters. His career is marked by a deep commitment to achieving favorable outcomes in cases involving domestic violence, divorce, child custody, parenting time, parent relocation, and other nuanced family law issues. David’s expertise also extends to same-sex civil union dissolution, emancipation, and alimony modification or termination.
David received an MBA from the University of Maine in 2022. This degree gives him unique expertise on certain issues involving the operation, structure and valuation of business, together with a high standard of insight into accounting and tax-related issues.
David has led numerous trials and hearings, consistently demonstrating his skill as a formidable litigator. His extensive trial experience is complemented by his certification as a mediator in family law cases, granted through the Administrative Office of the Courts. This certification emphasizes his ability to navigate disputes with a focus on resolution and fairness.
In addition to his practice, David is a respected educator, frequently lecturing at continuing legal education programs, including the “Intermediate Family Law for New York and New Jersey Attorneys” in June 2024. He has also contributed to the education of judges and attorneys on the ethical practice of law through his work with the Monmouth Bar Association Ethics panel and has published an article in the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal on the discharge of marital debts in bankruptcy proceedings.
