Daniel Pelic, Esq.
Associate Attorney
Certified Matrimonial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey
Daniel Pelic, Esq. is an associate with the Moskowitz Law Group. Mr. Pelic concentrates his practice in matrimonial and family law litigation and related matters. His practice also includes appellate work. He has practiced in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division and Supreme Court of New Jersey. His trial experience includes custody trials and domestic violence trials in restraining order cases.
Daniel Pelic, Esq. is proud to be certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney, an accreditation earned by less than 1% of attorneys in the state of New Jersey. To qualify for matrimonial certification a New Jersey attorney must: be a member in good standing with the New Jersey state bar for five (5) years or more; fulfill ongoing continuing legal education requirements; demonstrate a substantial level of experience in matrimonial law and be favorably evaluated and recommended by other attorneys and Judges who can vouch for their work. The applications are scrutinized and must be approved by the board on attorney certification. Only after all these criteria are met is the attorney eligible to take the written examination in matrimonial law, which they must pass in order to be Certified as a Matrimonial Law Attorney. Supreme Court certification is a rare designation that sets attorneys apart as experts in their field. This shows clients that their attorney has mastered their area of practice, thus providing clients with comfort that they are in good hands by being represented by a certified attorney. Daniel has met the rigorous standards for qualification and is honored to be recognized by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Matrimonial Lawyer.
Mr. Pelic understands that clients looking for representation in matrimonial and family law matters are likely experiencing some of the most upsetting and stressful experiences of their lives. Mr. Pelic takes great pride in advising and guiding clients through these matters and works tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome.
Following law school, Mr. Pelic had the rare privilege of being selected to serve two consecutive judicial clerkships. Over the course of his clerkships, he drafted hundreds of judicial opinions setting forth his judges’ decisions. He leverages his knowledge of judges’ decision-making processes when representing his clients.
Mr. Pelic’s pro bono work has included representing plaintiffs in domestic violence restraining order cases and assisting indigent veterans in child custody and child support related matters.
Mr. Pelic published The Compendium of Family Law for Law Clerks, a treatise on family law that is referenced extensively by Family Part law clerks in the Morris/Sussex Vicinage.
